Uncommitted, Hickman got the start against Chaminade (MO). The right-hander tossed six innings, allowing one run, seven hits, one walk, and six strikeouts. Also, went 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs and two runs scored.
4/29/25
Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 56 in the state. Extremely projectable 6-foot-1, 190-pound frame, long levers, high-waisted. Came out of the ‘pen for the Redbirds and gave a highly intriguing look. Athletic mover, flexible lower-half, opens early at times but creates notable hip/shoulder separation, will continue to throw harder. Elastic and whippy arm, quick into release, ¾ window. The fastball played in the 83-86 mph range with scattered control, comes out of the hand with easy life and some sink at times. Slider is a dynamic secondary offering, sells the pitch with arm-speed, sharp 10/4 shape with depth, missed bats, could land for strikes or to put hitters away. High ceiling right-hander with his best days still ahead.

Uncommitted, the first basemen went 5-for-7 on the week with a double, four RBIs, two runs, and a stolen base. The right-hander started on the mound in Alton’s 10-3 win against Jersey, going six innings, allowing three hits, two earned runs, two walks, and striking out seven.
3/28/25
RHP Logan Hickman, Alton, 2026 Uncommitted. Athletic 6-foot, 190-pound frame with room to add strength. Hickman showed advanced stuff through four and a third innings while striking out five. Clean, compact arm action with good extension from a ¾ slot. Controlled side-saddle delivery with drop and drive actions, quick and free hips, high leg lift that lands towards the plate. Uses mound for plane with easy effort in velocity. Fastball sat 83-86 with arm-side run and deception. Mixed in a changeup that sat 75-78 with good sinking action while keeping it down. His slider sat in the low 70’s with 10/4 shape.
