C/INF Lucas Agne (Plainfield North, 2027) popped as a freshman to know moving forward. A switch-hitter, he took quality rounds from both sides; from the left side he displayed a slightly uphill path, creating extension through the ball with a line-drive approach to the whole field. From the right side, he worked once again with an uphill path, staying direct to the ball with line-drives up the middle and to the opposite field - loose and upside swing that projects as he adds on strength. MIF Luca Agne (Plainfield North, 2027) gave a strong look at the dish over the weekend. Compact frame at 5-foot-4, 150-pounds, but don’t let that fool you as he is an extremely scrappy top-of-the-order type bat. The left-hander has hitter tendencies in the box with aggressive takes and quality at-bats. Loose and quick hands allow him to get the barrel to the ball consistently with a line-drive approach.
