Lawlor went 3-for-9 at the plate with a triple, a double, and six RBIs. On the mound, he threw eight total innings across two appearances, allowing no runs and earning one win and one save.

Lawlor has an athletic delivery with a loose, full arm action from a high ¾ slot. His fastball sat 82-85 mph, touching 86, before settling into the 82-84 mph range later in the outing. His slider was his go-to secondary at 78-79 mph, showing tight break and feel for the zone with a sharper bite than his previous outing two weeks prior. He also mixed in a changeup with fade at 78 mph, giving him a quality third offering. The advanced pitchability and mound presence he brings for his age continues to stand out. A high-follow name to know as August 1st approaches.

His fastball sat 84-86 mph with deceptive two-seam action and ride, earning swing-and-miss at times in the zone. His slider at 78-80 mph flashed out-pitch potential and was a pitch he could throw to both left-handed and right-handed hitters. As much as the stuff, his mound presence stood out; he showed a low pulse and competed in the zone throughout, demonstrating advanced maturity facing a top-ranked opponent. A high-follow southpaw in the region.
LHP/OF Collin Lawlor (Marist) has long been a performer and continued to show high-polish stuff at the invite-only event. Listed at a physical, broad-shouldered 6-foot-1, 196 pounds, Lawlor continued to show much of the same stuff we have been accustomed to seeing with an uptick in velocity. Lawlor is a fluid mover with a loose arm and topped at 85 mph with a fastball that plays up, jumping out of the hand with a 18.9” average IVB, T20.6”. He throws a hard, short-breaking slider in the upper-70s and low-80s changeup with all kinds of late fade and run. One of the top left-handed arms in the class who will continue to see his velocity climb as he climbs the high school ranks.
LHP Collin Lawlor (Marist, 2028) features an athletic, projectable 6-foot, 174-pound frame. He worked an 83 mph fastball with late run, consistently locating it down in the zone. Lawlor complemented it with a well-placed curveball and a deceptive 78 mph changeup. His uptempo delivery and cross-fire landing add an extra layer of deception, making him a tough matchup for hitters.

Uncommitted, the freshman southpaw made an impact last week for Marist as he made two appearances on the mound, starting against Benet, Lawlor went 6.2 innings, allowing just one run (unearned), four hits, walked one, and struck out nine. Against Brookfield Central, Lawlor came out of the pen and threw an inning allowing no baserunners and struck out one.
LHP/OF Collin Lawlor (Marist, 2028) is a projectable L/L prospect to note from the day who had a strong showing on both sides of the ball. He has room to add strength to his 6-foot, 175-pound frame, boasting a high waist and long levers. At the plate, the left-handed hitter showed easy strength with the ability to elevate to his pull-side, flashing line-drives up the middle with a peak EV of 90 mph. Lawlor continued to show well during the defensive portion of the workout; utilizing a clean one-hand gather off his front foot while showing steady actions throughout. On the mound, Lawlor showed a simple delivery with a loose arm out of a high ¾ slot. His fastball worked up to 82 mph with some arm-side action, and he showed above-average feel for a curveball, showing the ability to land it for strikes. He rounded out his mix with a low-70s changeup with fade.
