+ INF/RHP Bradley Hastings (Bishop Kelley, 2028) emerged as a name to know in the 2028 class with our staff’s first look at the young prospect. At the plate, the long limbed switch hitter consistently barreled balls throughout his round of BP, reaching a max exit velo of 92.2 mph. His long levers also produced an event best max bat speed (80.9 mph) and rotational acceleration (24.3g) via Blast Motion. Defensively, he showcased clean actions on the infield, receiving the ball out front with soft hands, and reaching 88 mph across (event best). On the mound, Hastings once again paced the event with a max fastball of 85.1 mph, but the metrics of both his fastball and slider were the most telling. His fastball peaked with a spin rate of 2580+ RPMs and slider peaked at 2660+ RPMs which both led the event and have laid a foundation as must follow as he continues developing.
