INF/RHP Alex Zeigler (Lane Tech, 2026) is a toolsy prospect that has some upside to multiple aspects of his game. He has an athletic build, standing in at 5-foot-11, 168-pounds with a trim, lean look. He got his day going with a 7.06 in the 60, and he also showed a strong arm (T88 mph) paired with deliberate, steady actions on the infield. At the plate, he showed some present bat-speed while averaging 72.5 mph and maxing out at just under 77 mph, reaching up to 97 mph for his peak EV with a pull-side approach. His aforementioned arm-strength had no trouble shifting over to the mound, sitting right around 82-83 mph and topping at 84 mph with over 2,400 rpm on average, showing carry traits and life through the zone. He showed some feel for his curveball, sitting 65-67 mph with depth and up to 15” of horizontal break. His final offering was a splitter that he killed spin on with developing feel, 69-73 mph.

INF/RHP Alex Zeigler (Lane Tech) is an interesting prospect that was atop the statistical leaderboard in multiple categories. He’s a 5-foot-11, 160-pound prospect with strength still to come. He led the event in max jump height (36.2 inches) which is one of the better vertical jump scores this fall, while also leading the event in infield velocity (87 mph). The right-handed hitter posted a max exit velocity of 94.3 mph (avg. 85.4 mph). Zeigler then hopped on the mound and showed intrigue. Zeigler led the event in average fastball spin rate (2338 rpm) and induced vertical break (16.3”), while reaching a max velocity of 82.8 mph with the pitch. Zeigler also showed a quality secondary pitch in his splitter that killed spin (avg. 950 rpm) at 69-71 mph that showed potential to induce swing and miss in the future.
