Chicago Preseason ID: Infielder Analysis
May 14, 2025
On Saturday, February 22nd, the Prep Baseball Illinois staff traveled to Chicago, IL for the Chicago Preseason ID held at the Pullman Community Center. This event is a great opportunity for our staff to get a look at players from the area.
SS Lucas Espinosa (Taft, 2026) is an intriguing switch-hitting prospect from the event that showed well both at the plate and defensively. Still uncommitted, Espinosa is a follow from the event.
INF Sean Ryan (Lincoln-Way West, 2025) is an unsigned senior who showed well at the event. Ryan reached 100 mph for his peak exit velocity (avg. 89.7) and also ran a 7.04 60.
Today we are beginning our post-event rollout with a look at all the infielders from the day, along with a ranking of who our staff deemed as the top infielder prospects.
