ABOUT ProPlayAI
PitchAI is a mobile application and web based portal for baseball players of all ages. By using any smartphone or high speed video of your pitching mechanics, PitchAI produces reliable, accurate and actionable insights into human movement (biomechanics)
- Capture pitching mechanics in games, bullpen, or in the gym
- Identify key motion variables associated with increased stress, decreased efficiency, or fatigue
- Game-changing technology helps players coaches and teams reach their potential
BASEBALL TRAINING REIMAGINED WITH *A.I
(*ATHLETIC INTELLIGENCE).
ProPlayAI doesn’t require any special sensors, a professional lab, or advanced degrees in math. All you need is your swagger and a smartphone.

Collect
Capture data directly from your smart phone with the easy to use PitchAI interface.
Generate 3D diagrams to easily compare between any two pitchers — find out how the best perform, and learn to optimize your movements.
Design drills targeted at optimizing your movement efficiency. Use PitchAI to continuously compare your results as you progress in your training.
Because there is no need for sensors or lab technology, capture in game footage — use this to help identify fatigue, pitch tipping, or why that 95mph fastball felt so good.
PITCHAI FOR ATHLETES
Pitchers use PitchAI to get insights into their mechanics. The objective data provided, along with the ability to compare against other player’s data; helps to identify strengths and weaknesses.
Benefits for Athletes
- Improve movement by easily comparing your mechanics against other athletes.
- Easily share your biomechanics data with coaches, scouts, and teams.
- Identify your strengths and weaknesses, and make the most out of every throw.
- Track progress over time; assess improvements to your mechanics while you train.
THE DATABASE.
Because our biomechanics assessments are so easy to do, we have a database of hundreds of thousands of pitches - letting you compare to what is normal, what leads to velocity, and how to stop pain and discomfort before it starts.

PITCHAI – A SCOUT’S BEST FRIEND
Every year, scouts descend on high school and college stadiums, and try to project how these athletes will turn into elite talent at the major league level. Bringing in technologies like TrackMan are allowing scouts to get more and more information on these pitchers, including their velocity and spin rates. This makes for easy comparison against major leaguers – but it leaves out a very important piece of the question – how did the pitcher move to produce that velocity?
Our friends at Prep Baseball Report have been building a database of pitcher biomechanics using PitchAI at their events across North America. This makes it quite a bit easier to start understanding how a pitcher is performing, and how they may develop over time to produce higher velocities and better results at different levels of competition.
Why PitchAI for coaches?
- Low-cost, lab accurate system without the need for sensors, calibration, or high-priced cameras.
- Objective, reliable data on pitching mechanics, taking you from a qualitative approach to a quantitative one.
- Track how well your drills and programs are working, quantify the progress of your players, and see if your players are fatiguing throughout a season.
- Assess athletes from anywhere, any time. The ability to capture video anywhere expands virtual coaching presence and new revenue opportunities.

How Canadian company @proplayai — backed by #BlueJays Nate Pearson – puts a pitching lab in the palm of your hand. Many thanks to @DrMikeSonne for his help on this story for @TheAthleticMLB's Future of Baseball series: https://t.co/KdZtYDdHmW
— Kaitlyn McGrath (@kaitlyncmcgrath) February 24, 2022Former Desert Hills star pitcher, Payton Gubler, was a PBR Super 60 Pro Showcase alum, and was up to 93 in this video and during the '22 spring HS season, touched 97 in a early season scrimmage in front of MLB Scouts. Gubler is now a freshman, attending BYU, and should be a impact arm next spring! See Below...
On today's episode of The @prepbaseball #Super60 Mechanics Show (it's a show now, we've decided), we're looking at @paytongubler - another great two way player who impressed at the plate, as well as touched 93 on the mound. pic.twitter.com/0fVyD7pYSw
