Uncommitted. Farina continued his excellent stretch of pitching by throwing a complete game victory against Lincoln-Way West. He scattered eight hits and allowed only one earned run while striking out three batters.

Uncommitted. Farina threw a seven-inning complete game win against Lincoln-Way Central, allowing no runs on three hits. He finished the outing with eight strikeouts and no walks.

Farina went the distance against an undefeated Sandburg team, earning a win. He pitched seven innings, allowed zero earned runs, surrendered only three hits, and struck out nine batters without issuing a walk.

Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 153 in the state. Athletic 5-foot-7, 153-pound frame. Turned in a strong start for the Porters. Farina is an athletic mover on the mound with a quick, compact arm action and an over-the-top slot with arm speed out front. He showed the ability to mix tempo, change speeds, and pitch backwards throughout the outing. His fastball sat 82-83 mph and touched 84 early before settling into the 80-82 mph range showing sinking action, and he complemented it with a curveball at 66-70 mph with 12/6 shape for strikes and a changeup at 73-74 mph that missed barrels. An uncommitted name to continue to follow this spring.

LHP Anthony Farina (Lockport, 2027) is a 5-foot-7, 145-pound frame and gave a strong showing on the mound Tuesday afternoon. The left-hander struck out four over two innings, allowing only one hit. Working from an easy high kick, drop, and drive motion with the arm working from a clean, easy, ¾ slot showing short arm action. Farina was able to keep hitters off-balance with a three-pitch mix, the fastball sitting 79-81 mph, with ride and slight cut, the slider was 67-69 mph, gyro shape; and the changeup was 71-72 mph, dropping off from the fastball with slight arm side run.

Athletic 5-foot-7, 145-pound frame. The left hander held a quality lineup to only one earned while tossing a complete game. He works with a true three-pitch mix. His fastball sat 81-83 mph locating it on both sides of the plate. The breaking ball sat 68-71 mph with depth. Put hitters away with it and landed it for strikes. Added a changeup at 73-75 mph with fade. Altered his leg lift to mess with hitter’s timings. Competitor on the mound who knows how to pitch.

Uncommitted. Athletic 5-foot-7, 145-pound frame with room to add strength. Farina struck out nine batters through four and ⅔ strong innings. The left-hander operates from a simple delivery that he changes pace with, while having a drop/drive approach. Compact, short, quick arm action from an over-the-top arm slot. His fastball sat 79-81 mph, which he was able to locate to all parts of the zone. Mixed in a curveball that sat 68-69 mph with sharp actions that played at the bottom of the zone.

Uncommitted, Farina got the win over a strong No. 11 Lincoln-Way West lineup, tossing 5.2 innings allowing one run, four hits, and striking out six.

Uncommitted, Farina continues to throw the ball well on the mound for Lockport. The southpaw made two appearances last week, first going 5.2 IP against Bradley, earning the win. He also held the game in check against Barrington on Saturday. Across both appearances, he collected a line of 6.2 innings pitched, no earned runs, five strikeouts, and three hits.

Uncommitted, the southpaw had a quality outing against Sandburg, nearly going the distance going six innings allowing only one earned run on three hits one walk, and striking out five.
