SHOCKER OF THE DAY

Eureka (19-10, 6-5 Corn Belt) stunned No. 22 Normal U-High (23-3, 8-3 Corn Belt) behind Nick Lind and Wade Gregorie 3-2. The Hornets scored three unearned runs in the top of the second and Lind and Gregorie made them hold up. Lind allowed two runs and five hits in his 4.1 inings on the mound to pick up the win. Gregorie fired 2.2 scoreless innings of relief to nail down the save for Lind.

CATHOLIC CROSSOVERS

No. 19 Fenwick (18-5, 11-4 Catholic White) blasted Hales Franciscan 13-3 in five innings behind Justin Rodriguez. Rodriguez had two doubles and four RBI to lead the Friar attack.
FOX VALLEY FOX

No. 9 Prairie Ridge (23-4, 11-1 Fox Valley Fox) crushed Grayslake North (9-15, 2-8 Fox Valley North) behind Connor Schneider. Schneider hit two home runs and had three RBI for the Wolves.
