10 | 13 | Miami Dade (FL) | 13-6 | Young but talented. Need signature wins to build that confidence. |
20 | 14 | Dyersburg St. (TN) | 9-3 | Winners of nine straight, including a big W over Wabash, after 0-3 start. |
14 | 15 | Southern Nevada | 8-4 | Playing well early on ran into Central Arizona and tough teams out west. |
21 | 16 | Midland (TX) | 8-3 | Strong start for a team that has the talent. Couldn't meet early challenge against McLennan. |
NR | 17 | Wallace St. (AL) | 8-2 | Preseason sleeper showing very well. Early favorite in Alabama that can compete with top teams nationally. |
17 | 18 | Cowley (KS) | 4-2 | Talented team that needs to play to see what they have. |
NR | 19 | Arizona Western | 11-3 | Strong start. Playing well - split with Central AZ and lost two to CSN. |
NR | 20 | New Mexico | 13-4 | Good start for a talented team. Two losses to Central AZ. |
16 | 21 | Grayson (TX) | 6-4 | Opened with two losses vs. San Jac. Talented lineup and pitching. Starting to get going. |
22 | 22 | John A. Logan (IL) | 5-3 | Solid play so far down south. Trying to get their stride. |
