Playoffs are starting this week in the 3A and 4A realm, and with that being said, this will be our final update to the Power 25 until the playoff race is finished. There was quite a bit of movement throughout the rankings but one thing stayed the same, and that is Nazareth holding down the No. 1 spot. 

The Roadrunners now boast a perfect 34-0 record and finished up their regular season with a 3-0 week, taking down St. Ignatius 2-0, Amundsen 13-3 and St. Francis 14-3.

Climbing

+ No. 2 New Trier (29-3): The Trevians are winners of 26 straight and now find themselves sitting at No. 2 after a 5-0 week. The Trevians took down Glenbrook North twice (6-2 & 6-3), while also taking down Taft 12-0, Libertyville 2-1 and Stevenson 6-4.

+ No. 3 St. Laurence (29-5): The Vikings are up one spot to No. 3 after a 3-0 week. They had a strong set of games, taking down Mount Carmel 8-0, Brother Rice 5-1 and Marist 10-2.

+ No. 5 Joliet West (31-4): The Tigers continue to roll and now find themselves up to No. 5 in this update. They went a perfect 5-0 on the week, seeing three wins over Plainfield Central (14-1, 12-2 and 2-0), also taking two from Plainfield East (14-0 & 10-0).

+ No. 6 Normal Community (31-3): The Ironmen made a big statement this past week when they took down former No. 5 Providence Catholic 11-1, they also saw a dominant 10-0 win over Danville to improve their overall record to 31-3. 

+ No. 7 Edwardsville (25-8): The Tigers saw four wins this past week without taking a loss, taking two games from East St. Louis (15-0 & 22-0), while also defeating Springfield 12-8 and Triad 5-4. 

+ No. 9 Lincoln-Way Central (22-6): One of the hottest teams in the state, the Knights went 3-0 this past week with their highlight win coming against Former No. 2 Joliet Catholic 3-2. They also saw quality wins over Lincoln-Way East 4-3 and Bolingbrook 6-4. 

+ No. 11 St. Charles North (25-5-2): The North Stars find themselves back at No. 11 with a 3-1-1 week. Their lone loss came against Burlington Central 8-5, and they also tied with a strong Geneva club 3-3. They did end up taking down Geneva 3-1 as well, and also saw wins over Barrington 6-2 and No. 11 at the time Lake Park 3-1 to take the conference series. 

+ No. 13 Morris (23-3): Morris rises two spots to No. 13 after a clean 1-0 week, taking down Streator 7-0. 

+ No. 18 McHenry (25-7): McHenry is also rising after playing one game, moving up one spot to No. 18 after a dominant 13-3 win over Stevenson.

+ No. 19 Burlington Central (22-9): Central has been on a hot-streak as of late, and they now sit at No. 19 in this update after a clean 3-0 week. They took down a strong St. Charles North club 8-5, while also seeing wins over Prospect 14-4 and Sycamore 8-4. 

+ No. 21 Libertyville (24-9-2): The Wildcats are up one spot after a 2-2-1 week, falling to now No. 2 New Trier 2-1 and Glenbrook North 10-3. They tied a strong Huntley club 3-3, and also saw wins over No. 25 at the time Stevenson 8-1 and 6-2. 

+ No. 22 Lyons Township (20-9): Lyons Township is up one spot to No. 22 after going 2-2 on the week, seeing wins over Hanover Central 9-3 and former No. 5 Providence Catholic 4-2. Their two losses came against Lockport 7-3 and Oak Park 14-2. 

Sinking

+ No. 4 Joliet Catholic (26-4): The Hill are down a couple spots to No. 4 after a 1-1 week, taking down United Township 6-4 but also falling to now No. 9 Lincoln-Way Central 3-2.

+ No. 8 Lincoln-Way West (26-4): The Warriors are also down two spots to No. 8 after a 2-1 week. They saw two wins over Bradley Bourbonnais (11-0 & 10-0), but fell to Willowbrook 10-9 in a 10-inning affair. 

+ No. 10 Providence Catholic (26-8): The Celtics went 2-2 this past week and now find themselves at No. 10. They saw wins over Sandburg 8-0 and St. Patrick 8-2, but also fell to now No. 6 Normal Community 11-1 and No. 22 Lyons Township 4-2.

+ No. 12 Lake Park (26-8): The Lancers went 4-2 this past week and are down one spot to No. 12. They saw two wins over Elk Grove (5-1 & 10-5), and also defeated Wheaton North twice (10-2 & 2-1). Their two losses came against now No. 11 St. Charles North 3-1 and a strong Conant club 12-2. 

+ No. 14 Huntley (26-7-1): The Red Raiders fall five spots after a 1-2-1 week. They defeated Fremd 3-0, but fell to Antioch 6-0 and Palatine 4-3. They also tied with Libertyville 3-3 to cap off their week. 

+ No. 15 Downers Grove North (26-7): The Trojans split 2-2 this past week and now sit at No. 15. They saw wins over Proviso East 16-3 and now No. 23 York 5-3, but also fell twice to the Dukes 6-2 and 6-5. 

+ No. 16 Mascoutah (26-5): Mascoutah finished this past week at a 2-1 clip and now sit at No. 16. Their two wins came against Granite City 6-0 and Jersey 4-1, but they fell to Mt. Vernon 3-0. 

New to the Power 25

+ No. 23 York (26-8): The Dukes make their way back into the Power 25 after going 4-1 this past week, taking down conference foe Downers Grove North twice (6-2 & 6-5), Prospect 9-1 and Hinsdale South 7-1. Their lone loss came against Downers North 5-3. 

+ No. 24 Father McGivney (31-4): Boasting one of the best records in the state, McGivney went a clean 1-0 this past week with a 10-0 win over Carrollton to crack the Power 25 for the first time this season.
