Scouting Report
Physical: 5-11, 160 pounds; Long, wiry build. 7.31 runner in the 60.
Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet wide spread; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Drops hands on the way back with a knee knock leg kick for timing. Drifts into contact while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a a finish around the back. More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 95 MPH via Trackman. Generated a lot of bat speed but still was able to control the barrel with a sweet spot score of 60% via trackman. Exit Velo up to 95 mph.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; utilizing a one knee approach while showing active feet. Hands work through the ball with a seamless transfer. Short take back from a standard 3/4 arm slot. 1.96-2.05 pop times. C - 80 MPH. Showcased a plus arm up to 80 MPH.
Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using an angled drop step. Belt high leg drive with shoulders outside the hips. Has a short stride while landing open. Long arm swing while showing no restrictions; standard 3/4 slot. Upright with finish. FB: Peak velo of 85 MPH, while sitting 84-85 MPH; life through the zone. SL: 70-72 MPH; tilting break. CH: 76-77 MPH; runs. Up to 85 MPH with plus spin of 2400+ via trackman.
Physical: Tall-waisted, athletic 5-foot-11, 160-pound frame. 7.51 runner in the 60YD.
Offensively: LHH. Wider, upright stance, as the hands operate high at the head. Utilized a fluid leg-kick stride to initiate the swing through a direct, rotational path into the hitting zone. Able to start/stop and impact the ball for distance to the pull-side. Hit behind for occasional backspin, up to 296FT and T90MPH EV via Trackman. More to come.
Defensively: The primary catcher featured an advanced receiving skillset from a LKD stance; quiet glove. Pop times ranged between 2.02-2.09 with a clean transfer and efficient straight-line footwork. Moved to the outfield and unleashed an 87MPH throwing arm.
Physical: Projectable, high-waisted build at 5-foot-11, 160lbs. 7.51 runner in the 60.
Offensively: LHH. Wider, upright stance with weight dispersed evenly, as the hands showed a controlled position by the head to begin. Utilized a toe-tap stride to initiate a connected, flat path into the hitting zone with some weight shift. Demonstrated the ability to inside-out the ball at times, maintaining good direction in the box. Accurate bat to ball skills that carried over to gameplay (78% sweet spot rate) and recorded a T83 mph exit velocity.
Defensively: The backstop featured a soft glove hand that worked low-to-high on the receive. Pop times ranged between 2.04-2.10 with an active rear hip, driving a strong 76 mph throw to the glove-side of the bag. Quick arm, repeatable trigger.
Pitching: RHP. Starts from the left side of the mound; fast, loose tempo, landing open with hip/shoulder separation present. Held 76-79, T81 mph with ride-run characteristics, adding a tight mid-60’s CB with developing two-plane shape.
