Arizona Rising Stars ID (Session II): Positional Data Dive

This past Saturday, the Prep Baseball Arizona staff hosted it's second Rising Stars ID of the season with the Arizona Rising Stars ID (Session II) at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. This event featured prospects from the 2028 and 2029 classes and served as an identifier for Arizona's Jr. Future Games team. The event featured over 30 prospects and allowed our staff to collect updates data and metrics via our series of tech partners.

Traditionally, the 60-yard dash has been the in-event standard to help measure a player's speed tool. While the measurement still has its utility, the 10-yard split has started to become more and more applicable in determining the player's burst and reaction time in-game, whether that's in the outfield or on the basepaths.
