Both teams came into the game on a hot streak. Easley came in with only 4 loses on the year whereas Lancaster came in just upsetting Greer. It was primed to be a big game as it showed through the early innings. Kaleb Owens the Anderson commit would get the start on the mound for Easley. Lancaster would strike for 3 runs in the the 3rd innings capped by a Sims 2 RBI 2B. Lancaster had all the momentum and had retired 8 straight Easley hitters until they dropped a fly ball in the 3rd with 2 outs. Easley gained some momentum on this and was able to score 2 runs. Lancaster would get one back in the 4th on a McGee 2B. Easley however would break out for 5 runs in the bottom of the 4th, lead by a Levi Recio 2 RBI 3B and an Aaron Tolbert 2RBI single. Easley would pull away in the 6th getting 3 wins and sealing the victory advancing to the 3rd round of the 4A playoffs to host Indian Land.
