Ontario vs Lakewood - 5/24/18

    |
Christian Lothes LHP / OF / Lakewood Hebron , OH / 2019Rankings  StateRank: 21 / POS: 2
Scouting Report: The 6-foot-2, 195-pound southpaw continues to show improvement each time he throws. He has a very solid pitching frame allowing for him to continue to grow and fill out as he ages. Lothes throws from a high ¾ arm slot and has a high leg kick maximizing his drive from his lower half. He does not display max effort while throwing a hard fastball and has plenty of room to grow. He has a live arm and the ball seems to jump out of his hand. His curveball is sharp, and his changeup is one that drops off right before the plate and looks like his fastball until the last second. Lothes is a must-see prospect this summer as the recruiting trail begins. |
Wapakoneta vs Firelands - 5/24/18

Gage Schenk RHP / C / Wapakoneta, OH / 2018Rankings  StateRank: 143 / POS: 45
Scouting Report: The 6-foot-1, 175-pound uncommitted senior has steadily improved each time we have seen him. Schenk projects as one of the top uncommitted arms in the 2018 class. He has a long arm and throws a deceptive fastball. His fastball is complemented by his off-speed pitches as he has great feel for them as well. His breaking ball has 11/5 action and his splitter has late drop to it and both are thrown at the same arm speed as his fastball. Schenk is a guy that is going to pound the zone and force hitters to beat him. With plenty of room to still grow on the mound, Schenk is a guy to look into as his spring season concludes and summer begins. |
