East Lincoln- 4  St. Stephens- 1

On Friday Night May 20th the St. Stephens Indians hosted the East Lincoln Mustangs with a birth in the 3A Western Finals on the line. Both teams tied for second this season in the Western Foothills 3A Conference with St. Stephens winning two of their previous three meetings this season. 

The talented East Lincoln lineup showed its strength in the first inning scoring runs on a RBI double from Trey Spees and a 2-out 2 RBI single by Evan Matile for the quick 3-0 lead. St. Stephens would threaten in the bottom half with a leadoff double from Elec Marvin but Mustang starter Carson Dahle would record three strikeouts in the inning to keep the Indians off the board. St. Stephens would break through in the 5th scoring a run on a Marvin sac fly but the Mustangs would answer right back in the 6th scoring a run on a hit by Gavin Houser. Dahle made quality pitches all night, tossing a complete game to help the Mustangs advance to the Western Finals and a best of three series with South Rowan.
