The Maryland Terrapins commit is a top 3 catcher in the 2026 NJ class and is also nationally ranked. At 5’8 and 160 lbs, Bagley plays his position exceptionally well. A very fluid mover behind the plate, he has the actions of a middle infielder when throwing the ball down. With a pop time as low as 1.87, showcase style, he shows the tools of a catcher that can control the running game. He works from a traditional setup when throwing down and blocking as well. Bagley also has the athleticism to make plays at shortstop. His fluidity from behind the plate directly translates to shortstop, giving him the rare ability to be a leader behind the plate one game and a leader up the middle the next game.

At the plate, he hits from a slight foot lift/toe-tap gather. An easy to repeat, under control swing that has tons of projectability as he physically matures. The junior possesses an advanced approach at the plate with a very patient mindset. As of 5/7, Bagley is hitting .447 with 17 hits and an on-base-percentage of .644. An impressive 11 walks and held his ground 10 times for 10 HBPs.
