Today we are releasing the second edition of the Small School Top 10 for the 2025 season. This ranking release is from VHSL Class 1 & 2 schools from across the state. Take a look at some notes on a few teams from inside the rankings.

• The Auburn Eagles stay in the number one spot in this update. They suffered their first loss on the year to Blacksburg in a high scoring affair, but has continued to dominate opponents with their high powered offense. 

• The Buckingham Knights make their first appearance in the rankings coming in at the number three spot. They are undefeated on the year and have dominated the opposing competition. The offense has put up runs in bunches as they are batting .385 as a team. 

• Fort Chiswell checks in at the number nine spot. They have had the combination of a high scoring offense and some solid outings on the mound that have led to their success.
