Utah Rising Stars ID: Hitting Data Dive

This past Saturday, April 12th, the Prep Baseball Utah staff hosted it's first Rising Stars event of the season with the annual Utah Rising Stars ID hosted at The Hive in Nephi, Utah. This event featured 40+ prospects in the 2029 and 2030 classes on hand for their introduction to the Prep Baseball product and showcase scene.

The event saw all players running through a full workout alongside our tech partners TrackMan and VALD Performance, while also collecting positional metrics. Rising Stars showcases serve as an introductory showcase for prospects in Grade 7 and Grade 8 (2029 and 2030), while also serving as an identifier for the annual Junior Future Games which is the premiere events across the country for the age group.

Sweet Spot percentage: This metric is determined by how often the player produces a batted ball during the session with a launch angle between 8 to 32 degrees.
