South Carolina Pitcher of The Week - Part of Prep Baseball's Comprehensive Coverage

Throughout the 2025 South Carolina high school baseball season, Prep Baseball SC and its dedicated staff will provide extensive coverage of all aspects of the sport across the state. 

Each week, our scouting staff will analyze box scores, consult with high school coaches, college recruiters, and professional scouts to select the Player and Pitcher of the Week. Coaches will have the opportunity to nominate players from their teams for consideration. The recipients of these awards will be announced every Tuesday throughout the spring season.

South Carolina Pitcher of the Week: April 21 – April 26, 2025

Connor Wells, delivered a dominant performance last week, Took a no hitter into the 6th inning, while striking out 7 batters.

Wells was dominate, striking out 7 batters, while allowing only 3 walks and 2 hits over 6 IP in his out outing.  His ability to command the zone and overpower hitters played a key role in his team’s success. 

For his outstanding performance, Connor Wells has been named the Prep Baseball SC Pitcher of the Week.

Foster Matthews, delivered a dominant performance last week, Threw a Complete game shutout on against Lewisville while picking up 2 wins on the week.

Matthews was untouchable, striking out 10 batters, while allowing only 2 walk and 7 hits over 12 IP over 2 outings.  His ability to command the zone and overpower hitters played a key role in his team’s success. 

For his outstanding performance, Foster Mtthews has been named the Prep Baseball SC Pitcher of the Week.
