Gainesville Cardinals
The Gainesville Cardinals had a phenomenal week going undefeated, including becoming the 2025 Commonwealth Classic Champions. The pitching staff controlled opposing offenses with three shutout performances in the Commonwealth Classic. The offense had some important moments that played big parts in their success throughout the week.

Players of the Week
This weeks Player of the Week will be a little different as we will highlight some standouts from the 2025 Commonwealth Classic Champions Gainesville Cardinals. It was a group effort from the Cardinals that had to face some talented teams to become the champions.
- Connor Armstrong got the start in game two of the Commonwealth Classic and turned in a quality start with four shutout innings.

- Ian Fournier was a big contributor to the offense in the championship game, having a multi-hit night including two doubles that changed the momentum.

- Gavin Genovese was finding barrels throughout the Commonwealth Classic, finding ways to impact the baseball and helping with the run production.

- Caden Merritt made a big statement in game one of the Commonwealth Classic where he threw a complete game shutout against Highland. He then would kick game two off with a solo homerun to get the offense started. He impacted in multiple ways to help win the championship.

- Kaden Zimorowicz turned in an electric performance in the championship game against Abingdon. He went five shutout innings picking up twelve strikeouts to lead the Cardinals to the win.
