We have our fourth update to the 2025 VA/DC Power 25. This update did not see a ton of movement. A lot of teams within the Power 25 won all of their scheduled games last week, had one loss to a currently ranked team, or did not play due to working around spring break. These few weeks are very tricky with schedules, due to the fact that many teams around the state will be going through their spring break week. Some will play anywhere from two to four games and there are some that elect to not plat at all. With that being said, in the next three weeks you will see a large jump in the number of games played, as well as district play beginning, and that will start to shake things out in the rankings. Without further ado, we are going to highlight a few teams that have seen some movement in the Power 25.

VA/DC Power 25 Update Notes

+ The top four remain unchanged, as they all were undefeated on the week. Cox and Atlee both had one game weeks, both winning their lone game on the schedule. However, no easy week for St. John's or Miller School. Both teams had four games this week and both teams went undefeated. St. John's continued to separate themselves, knocking off two Power 25 teams in Paul VI and Bishop O'Connell in fairly convincing fashion.

+ Greenbrier Christian continues their ascent up the rankings, moving up to #14 this week. The Gators have a lone loss to Maury from earlier in their season, but this week had two big wins over Mills Godwin and Atlantic Shores, both being ranked opponents. GCA continues to find a way to win late in games and have showed the ability to battle in close games and show up when it means the most.

+ Moving into the rankings this week are two new teams, Woodgrove and Auburn (Riner). Woodgrove is undefeated, and while they do not have any one huge signature win, they have a handful of really solid wins. Not only are wins over teams like Lightridge, Dominion, Stone Bridge, and Briar Woods solid, it is how they won those games. A mixture of close wins, a come from behind win, and a few that they ran away with. They have shown that they can win in different types of games. While there were a couple of undefeated teams in consideration for the final spot in the Power 25, Auburn (Riner) gets the nod. Why? Because of all of those teams, their wins have been the most impressive in terms of performance and they have quite possibly the "best" win of those in consideration, with a win over Blacksburg.
