2025 KSHSAA Player of the Week: Week 2

Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Prep Baseball KS Player of the Week. We will rely on submissions from high school coaches and others by way of email ([email protected]) or DM on X (twitter). Nominations should include player name, grad year, position, and stat line. The Kansas High School Player of the Week will be released every Tuesday after noon. This week had the most nominations we have ever received with some of the most impressive numbers we have ever seen, making the selection a difficult process. We will cover all players nominated for player of the week in our Diamond Notes article that comes out on Wednesday's.

Ben Graves SS / 2B / Lawrence Free State, KS / 2026Rankings StateRank: 19 / POS: 5
The Wichita State commit got it done on both sides of the ball this week, leading Lawrence Free State to a perfect 2-0 record with dominant wins over Olathe South and Shawnee Mission East. Graves delivered offensively, going 5-for-8 at the plate, with four doubles, ten RBIs, five runs scored, and two walks. He also stepped up on the mound to seal the victory over the Lancers, pitching two flawless innings, allowing just one hit, and striking out two against one of the state's most potent lineups. |
