Mill Creek @ Lowndes
Mill Creek Hawks
Playoffs - Def. Westlake, 3 games (1st RD.)
Key Players
Daniel Pierce, SS, 2025
Will Myhand, 1B, 2026
Nick Felix, 3B, 2025
Caleb Harley, OF, 2025
Walker Myhand, 2B, 2026
Gavin Dempsey, RHP, 2026
How they win the series:
The top of the order is going to have to score runs against good pitching early, and it starts with Daniel Pierce. One of the top MLB Draft prospects in the state can change the game in one swing. Timely hitting from Will Myhand, Nick Felix in the first round will need to carry over to give the Hawks their best chance.
Lowndes Vikings
Playoffs - Def. Cherokee, 3 games (1st RD.)
Key Players
Coleman Lewis, OF, 2025
Matthew Kerrigan, OF, 2026
Cason Fletcher, SS, 2026
Derrick Carter, 1B, 2026
Garrett Moon, RHP, 2025
Brinson Rountree, LHP, 2027
Hank Drew, C, 2027
How they win the series:
Big-time pitching showed up for the Vikings in the first round both in starting and relief capacities and will be vital to slow down the Hawks lineup. Sophomore LHP Brinson Rountree will roll into this series with big momentum after out-dueling Reid Worley and could be a difference maker for Lowndes.
Carrollton @ Etowah
Carrollton Trojans
Playoffs - Def. Mountain View, 3 games (1st RD.)
Key Players
Maddox Monsour, SS, 2025
Kaleb Binion, OF, 2026
Caleb Hudson, OF, 2027
Gunner Fokken, C/RHP, 2027
John Cobb, RHP, 2025
Caden Opperman, RHP, 2026
Evan Moody, OF, 2026
How they win the series:
Avoid the big innings from the Etowah lineup. We know they can hang a crooked number at any time, so staying in striking distance will be vital. John Cobb and Caden Opperman will need extended starts to give the Trojans their best chance at taking down the defending State Champions. Look for sophomore Gunner Fokken to be an x-factor in a two-way role.
Etowah Eagles
Playoffs - Def. Richmond Hill, 2 games (1st RD.)
Key Players
Matthew Sharman, RHP/1B, 2026
Trevor Condon, OF, 2026
Deion Cole, SS, 2026 PBR
Colin Anderson, 3B, 2028
Caden Borcherding, C, 2027
Jackson Rose, LHP, 2025
Carson Moore, OF, 2026
Nate Curcio, 2B/RHP, 2027
How they win the series:
Limiting extra-base hits from a potent lineup. You know Etowah can put runs on the board at any time but playing from a deficit in the playoffs is a different animal. Expect the impressive 1-2 punch of Matthew Sharman and Jackson Rose to be dialed in and looking for big performances on the mound for the Eagles.
McEachern @ North Gwinnett
McEachern Indians
Playoffs - Def. Newton, 2 games (1st RD.)
Key Players
Chubb Jones Jr., RHP/OF, 2027
Malachi Butler, SS, 2027
Jordan Stokes, C, 2026
JC Crenshaw, RHP, 2025
Leandro Sanchez, 3B, 2027
Tyce Williams, OF, 2025
How they win the series:
It starts with the “Why Not Us” confidence that you need in the postseason. This is a young team that has borderline over-achieved the past two seasons and now understands what it takes to beat a powerhouse like the Bulldogs. Pure Power from Chubb Jones Jr and pitchability from JC Crewshaw can give the Indians the chance to win any game they start and will be key in a potential upset.
North Gwinnett Bulldogs
Playoffs - Def. Forsyth Central, 2 games (1st RD.)
Key Players
Ryan Hall, RHP/OF, 2025
Samford Halcomb, OF, 2025
Ian Bicknell, OF, 2025
Nathan Shaffer, C, 2025
Caiden Wilson, SS, 2025
Joseph Park, RHP, 2026
How they win the series:
The experience that North Gwinnett brings into this series cannot be understated. Upperclassmen at nearly every key position, but I believe it’s the overall pitching depth that can take this team far this postseason. It starts of course with Ryan Hall, but names like Joseph Park, Tyler Sohn and Trey James will be huge in key situations.
Parkview @ Hillgrove
Parkview Panthers
Playoffs-Def. North Atlanta, 3 Games (1st RD.)
Key Players
Malachi Washington, OF, 2026
Emani Ford, SS, 2026
Joseph Mendez, 2B, 2027
Andres Jimenez, RHP/3B, 2027
Porter Berryman, LHP, 2025
JT Whritenour, LHP, 2025
CJ Woolcock, 1B, 2026
Bryce Carter, C, 2027
Miles Norman, OF, 2027
Mason Davis, 3B, 2025
Tyler Yoon, C, 2025
Grant Lambert, 1B, 2026
Ellis Appling, OF, 2026
Daelan Jones-Teasley, LHP, 2028
How they win the series:
The Panthers could explode on offense at any given moment. Especially with Malachi Washington leading the way, as they will need to see continued production from the rest of the lineup in RD. 2. Porter Berryman and Andres Jimenez provide a potent 1-2 punch on the bump. Other names such as JT Whritnour and Daelan Jones-Teasley could propel this staff over the top.
Hillgrove Hawks
Playoffs-Def. Grovetown, 2 Games (1st RD.)
Key Players
Dylan Honore, MIF, 2027
Carson Vick, C, 2025
Avery Wilson, OF, 2025
Daniel Parker, 3B, 2025
Ryder Bass, 3B/RHP, 2027
Gavin Boykin, C, 2028
Bryson Hicks, OF/2B, 2025
Kingston Sims, OF, 2026
Jordan Walker, OF, 2026
Donovan Dortch, SS, 2026
Aiden Moore, RHP, 2026
Nahdir Jackson, RHP, 2026
Tucker Bowen, RHP, 2026
Gavin Gohlke, LHP, 2026
Alan Aguilar, 2B/RHP, 2026
Chase Hicks, 3B/1B, 2026
How they win the series:
Depth is key for the Hawks with a plethora of strong upperclass and underclass talent across the board. This is a gritty lineup as anyone 1-9 could come through at any time and this will be key to outscore a potent offense on the other side. Aiden Moore is coming off a big RD. 1 performance and looks to keep things rolling into RD. 2.
Brookwood @ Grayson
Brookwood Broncos
Playoffs-Def. Denmark, 3 Games (1st RD.)
Key Players
Boomer Rogozinski, C/3B, 2026
Joe Soto, LHP, 2026
Alex Reyes, C, 2026
Mason Archie, OF, 2025
Marshall Jackson, RHP, 2027
Max Rogozinsk, SS/RHP, 2027
Aidan Martinez, RHP, 2025
How they win the series:
Coming off a hard fought 3-game series in RD.1 the Broncos come in riding some momentum. As they look to avenge their Final 4 loss from last year. Joe Soto and Marshall Jackson are as stout a 1-2 you’ll find as they will look to keep runs off the board. Max Rogozinski provides another lockdown option out of the pen. The offense for the Broncos will look to keep things rolling as well.
Grayson Rams
Playoffs-Def. Campbell, 2 Games (1st RD.)
Key Players
Alex Espinoza, IF/RHP, 2025
Landon Arroyos, SS/RHP, 2025
Vernon Woodard, C/RHP, 2026
David Paez, C/3B, 2025
Ekrem Kruskic, RHP, 2025
Michael Hambrick, LHP, 2027
How they win the series:
After a run that ended in the State Championship last year, the Rams are hungry for another shot at the State Title. Alex Espinoza, Landon Arroyos, and Vernon Woodard do it all for this club by pacing the offense as well as providing quality innings on the mound.
Walton @ East Coweta
Walton Raiders
Playoffs-Def. Colquitt County, 2 Games (1st RD.)
Key Players
Walker Killimett, OF, 2026
Jackson Taylor, SS/3B, 2025
Parker Dastou, SS, 2025
William Crowell, C/1B, 2025
Matthew Haber, OF, 2025
Ahren Smith, SS, 2025
Logan Wideman, 1B, 2026
Todd Haley, 1B/LHP, 2026
Devin Krohn, OF, 2026
Hyland Brown, RHP, 2025
Westin Chen, RHP, 2026
Adler Bowen, RHP, 2026
Dominic Rossy, C, 2028
Chase Bredickas, LHP/1B, 2028
How they win the series:
This is a lineup that can compete with anyone. Look for Walker Killimett to provide a spark out of the lead-off spot and pace the offense. The Raiders will need big pitching performances from names like Hyland Brown, Westin Chen, and Adler Bowen to keep a tough opposing lineup off the board.
East Coweta Indians
Playoffs-Def. Dacula, 3 Games (1st RD.)
Key Players
Lathan Gibby, OF, 2026
Jakob Gonzalez, C, 2027
Hunter Bedenbaugh, 2B, 2027
Jax Bowles, 3B/1B, 2027
Chance Izzo, SS, 2025
CJ Rivera, 3B, 2025
Logan Bence, OF, 2025
Logan Wynn, LHP, 2026
Conor Goltermann, 1B, 2025
Aydan Andrade, 1B/LHP, 2027
Kade Corbitt, RHP, 2026
How they win the series:
The Indians are a well-coached group with strengths throughout. Starting with a potent offense with a good mix of upperclass and underclass talent that knows how to push runs across. They will look to get solid innings from Logan Wynn on the mound amongst others to shut down a powerful offense on the other side.
North Paulding @ Buford
North Paulding Wolfpack
Playoffs-Def. Tift County, 3 games (1st RD.)
Key Players
Yenli Nolasco, RHP/OF,2025
Nathan Rowland, C, 2025
Colling Brightwell, OF, 2025
Cade Cox, SS, 2026
Raedan Jones, RHP, 2025
Wesley Moering, 3B, 2027
Lawson Sheffield, INF, 2026
Jacob Krivanek, LHP, 2027
How they win the series: The Wolfpack is experienced and know they have the senior leadership to make a run. They will need a big start from Raedan Jones, he will look to bounce back after dropping game 1 to Tift. The Young Harris commit is as consistent as they come, so we should see him on his game. They will need the normal guys to produce like Brightwell, Rowland and Nolasco. Wesley Moering had a breakout freshman year and I think he can change this series with 1 swing.
Buford Wolves
Playoffs-Def. Chapel Hill, 2 games (1st RD.)
Key Players
Ayden Lockett, OF, 2026
Dexter McCleon Jr., OF/RHP, 2028
Lio Garcia, SS, 2028
Carson Reeves, OF/RHP. 2027
Cannon Goldin, OF, 2025
Ryan Johansen, 3B, 2027
Ian Chafin, 2B, 2027
Braden Burton, RHP, 2025
Brody Hurd, OF, 2027
Luke Hopper, RHP, 2025
Vance Bock, C, 2026
Walker Taulbee, LHP, 2028
Caleb Griffin, 1B, 2026
How they win the series:
The biggest key for the Wolves is going to be timely hitting from the bottom of the order. If they can get on base they are going to be able to produce like they did against Chapel Hill. They are a team full of young talent and don’t be surprised if players like Brody Hurd or Carson Reeves come up in big spots. If the series goes 3 games arms like Walker Taulbee and even Carson Reeves are going to be key after the starters.
