Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Prep Baseball Oregon Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations submitted through our POTW Google Form.

Additionally, we will continue our Oregon Diamond Notes to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Pitcher or Hitter of the Week.

This week's Hitter of the Week is '26 OF Caleb Babcock (Philomath).

OR HITTER OF THE WEEK (4/14-4/19)

Caleb Babcock OF / LHP / Philomath, OR / 2026 Junior showed out in a big way, finishing 10 for 17 on the week to win HOTW honors. Babcock had an incredible 15 RBI and scored 7 runs, slugging 4 doubles and walking twice as well. The lefty was most recently seen at the Corvallis Preseason ID this February.
