TUESDAY, APRIL 1

ST. THOMAS AQUINAS VS. BLUE VALLEY SOUTHWEST

The Arkansas commit was in complete control for all 5.2 innings of his outing. The two-way prospect is a physical and athletic presence on the mound who continues to add polish to his delivery and execution every time we see him. Attacked hitters early in counts with a jumpy fastball at 87–90 mph, holding his velocity after touching 91 in the first. More impressive than the fastball was the slider, which he spun into the mid-80s with consistent depth around the zone. Boyle also landed a swing-and-miss changeup to left-handed hitters in the mid-80s.
