Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Prep Baseball Oregon Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations submitted through our POTW Google Form.

Additionally, we will continue our Oregon Diamond Notes to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Pitcher or Hitter of the Week.

This week's Pitcher of the Week is '25 RHP Alexander Via (Summit).

Alexander Via RHP / OF / Summit, OR / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 9 / POS: 2 The top-ten ranked senior in the state earns POTW honors after throwing 7 innings of hitless ball last week. The Portland commit allowed 0 runs and 0 walks while striking out 10, with the only baserunners reaching on error. Via was most recently seen at Prep Baseball's PNW Preseason ID this February.
