2025 CHSAA Players of the Week: March 31-April 5

Caleb Dameron
Prep Baseball Colorado Staff

Each week during the high school season, the Prep Baseball Colorado staff will be announcing our 'Player of the Week' award for that particular week. Numerous players from across the state continue to perform and put up numbers on a week-to-week basis, though only one athlete can take home the 'hitter' or 'pitcher' award each week. Below you'll see which players have earned our 'Player of the Week' honors this spring season.

NOTE: These submissions were provided from high school coaches and others from around our state. If you are a interested in nominating a player, please contact Marc Wagner ([email protected]).

CHSAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK: MARCH 31-APRIL 5

PITCHER OF THE WEEK:

Zack Young LHP / Centaurus, CO / 2025

Young has earned this week's respective 'Pitcher of the Week' award after going 7 strong innings with 13 Ks against last year's 4A state champions, the Holy Family Tigers. The southpaw also only gave up 3 hits, 0 earned runs, and walked 2 batters in this one. Young comes with a fastball around the mid 80s with plenty of pitchability out of a deceptive slot. The uncommitted lefty and 2024 Prep Baseball West Coast Games alumni has chucked 27 innings this spring with 38 Ks, 8 walks, and a 1.30 ERA.

HITTER OF THE WEEK:

Keyan Lundvall 3B / RHP / Castle View, CO / 2025

Lundvall had a very productive week against some tough opponents. The Castle View senior went 4 for 6 with 2 homeruns, 6 RBI, 2 stolen bases, and 3 runs scored. Lundvall also tossed 5 innings on the mound with 7 Ks and 4 earned runs in the Sabercats' win against Grandview on Wednesday. The uncommitted athlete was needed all week long to secure two close wins as he homered against Ralston Valley and again against Grandview to help them knock off the top ranked program. Castle View is now 10-1 on the season while Lundvall has hit for a .436 average with 3 home runs, 2 doubles, 7 stolen bases, and a 1.157 OPS across 41 plate appearances (5A).
