Forest Acres Classic 2025: Day 1 Scout Blogs
April 15, 2025
The 20th annual Forest Acres Classic baseball tournament will be held April 14th-17th at AC Flora High School in Forest Acres. Prep Baseball South Carolina was on hand to watch these great teams and players.
Below we take a look at some players that stood out from Day 1 of the Tournament.
Grant Kissner | RHP | 2025 | Lexington HS | Erskine Commit
Grant Kissner brings a mature, controlled presence to the mound with easy, repeatable mechanics and a fluid, compact arm action, while throwing from a L ¾ arm slot. He fills up the zone with a fastball at 83–85 mph that features late action and occasional cut, consistently setting up his swing-and miss slider. The slider, working at 74–75 mph, shows tight, horizontal break and pairs well off the fastball to keep hitters guessing. Kissner demonstrates a strong feel for sequencing and tunneling, showing the ability to execute in key spots. A polished right-hander with a strong foundation heading into the next level.

Christian Spivey | 1B/3B | 2027 | Lexington HS
Christian Spivey is an ultra-physical sophomore corner infielder who put together three loud swings on the day. He generates easy juice from a strong, powerful lower half and shows advanced strength at contact. The ball jumps off the bat with authority, pointing to enormous power potential as he continues to develop. Spivey continues to prove why he’s one of the top bats—and overall players—in the state and across the country.
