The VA/DC Player of the Week continues for week 5. The award goes to Gabe Jenkins from Hanover High School. Jenkins came up to the plate in the top of the sixth and hit a two run home run to put the Hawks ahead of their rival Atlee. That hit would go on to be the big hit that they needed to defeat the former top five team in the VA/DC Power 25 rankings. The senior VMI signee has been a vital piece in the middle of the order for the Hawks this season.
