Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Prep Baseball Oregon Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations submitted through our POTW Google Form.

Additionally, we will continue our Oregon Diamond Notes to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Pitcher or Hitter of the Week.

This week's Hitter of the Week is '26 RHP Cole Thomas (Central Catholic).

OR PITCHER OF THE WEEK (4/7-4/12)

Cole Thomas / RHP / Central Catholic, OR / 2026 Thomas wins POTW this week after spinning a 7 inning no hitter last Friday. The multi-sport athlete struck out six batters and walked three in his dominant outing. The junior has been a big part of Central Catholic's hot start to the season, going 7-2-1 thus far.
