Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Prep Baseball Oregon Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations submitted through our POTW Google Form.

Additionally, we will continue our Oregon Diamond Notes to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Pitcher or Hitter of the Week.

This week's Pitcher of the Week is '26 C/RHP Trenton Hertzog (Tualatin).

Trenton Hertzog 3B / C / Tualatin, OR / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 2 / POS: 1 OverallRank: 311 / POS: 19 Junior earns Pitcher of the Week honors after a massive relief appearance, logging 7 innings of 2 hit shutout baseball while striking out 17. The Future Games alum and Oregon commit is known for his skill as a position player but showed his versatility to win POTW in week 3 of Oregon HS action.
