TX HS Uncommitted Scout Blog: Week 7

Prep Baseball Texas Staff

The Texas Scout Blog is where you will be able to find all the notes and video from our boots-on-the-ground scouting team on the top players we see over the course of the spring season. This season, we will have separate scout blogs; one for uncommitted prospects, and one for committed prospects.

Below, you can read up on the uncommitted standouts from week seven of high school play…

WEEK 7

Mason Gonzalez
Position:
OF/LHP
School: Rouse (2026)
Commitment: Uncommitted

Mason Gonzalez, an uncommitted junior for Rouse, had a strong performance at the plate with a hard-hit double over the right fielder’s head in the 1st inning, followed by a sac fly to center field in the 3rd to get the Raiders on the board. Gonzalez continues to show solid offensive tools and plays with confidence, contributing to his team’s success. He is consistently on the barrel when I see Rouse play and is going to give the team a good AB more times than not. Good looking player in the 2026 class.
