Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Prep Baseball Washington Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations submitted through our POTW Google Form.

Additionally, we will continue our Washington Diamond Notes to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Pitcher or Hitter of the Week.

This week's Pitcher of the Week is '26 RHP Quade Gonzalez (Othello).

WA PITCHER OF THE WEEK (4/7-4/12)

Quade Gonzalez IV SS / RHP / Othello High School, WA / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 21 / POS: 4 Junior wins Pitcher of the Week honors after a dominant outing, going a complete game 7 innings shutout with just 1 hit allowed. The Othello High School product struck out 16 batters and walked 2, and is one of the more intruiging uncommitted junior RHP's in the state.
