Badger vs. Tremper
By: Josh Fields
Wisconsin Staff
Matthew O’Grady Jr., OF, Badger, 2026
Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 13 in the state. Strong and athletic frame, standing at 5-foot-11, 193 pounds. Patrolled centerfield and hit three-hole for the Badgers, taking strong at-bats throughout the day finishing 2-for-4 with two RBIs, a home run and a stolen base. One of the top athletes in the state, with continued development at the plate over the year. The left-handed hitter was consistently on the barrel throughout four at-bats, driving the ball with authority while only swinging and missing once in the zone. Defensively, O’Grady Jr. has been one of the top defenders in the state with easy range and speed that play up in game with arm strength to pair.
Ethan Bauerschmidt, RHP, Tremper, 2025
Penn State recruit, currently ranked No. 4 in the state. Premier athlete, standing at 6-foot-3, 178 pounds with added physical strength. Started the game on the mound with multiple MLB scouts in attendance, struck out six across four innings, diving up six hits and two earned runs. Despite the stateline, this was the best our staff had seen Bauerschmidt to date with a near 70% strike rate. The fastball cruised in the low-90s throughout the outing, maintaining velocity late, while touching 93 mph in the first inning. The breaking ball stands out, 79-82 mph with sharp two-plane break and unwavering confidence in the offering, inducing multiple swings-and-misses in and out of the zone. Rounding off his arsenal was a 88-89 mph sinker that he used exclusively against left-handed hitters, while flashing both a mid-80s cutter and low-80s changeup.
No. 16 St. Joseph vs. New Berlin Eisenhower

Wisconsin Staff
Dominic Santarelli, INF, St. Joseph, 2026
Louisville commit, currently the No. 1 player in the state. Physical and explosive 6-foot-1, 223-pound frame, sneaky athlete with twitch. Batted second and played first for the Lancers. The left-handed hitter swings a heavy and powerful barrel with real juice nearly leaving the yard and a ball to the left-center field gap. Advanced approach with a plan in the box, routinely takes quality at-bats. A natural hitter with bat-to-ball ability rarely comes up empty when he pulls the trigger in the box. One of the top bats in the Midwest with a growing reputation at the plate.
Peter Visconti II, C, St. Joseph, 2025
Wisconsin-Milwaukee recruit, currently ranked No. 25 in the state. Strong 5-foot-10, 185-pound frame. Hit leadoff and while starting behind the plate for the Lancers. Direct, right-handed swing with a knack for finding the barrel and using the entire field, went 2-for-3 on the day with a walk. Defensively, a confident defender that with a strong arm, keeps the run-game in check, threw a runner out at third to end an inning.
Sam Hirthe, RHP, New Berlin Eisenhower, 2025
Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 47 in the state. Athletic 6-foot, 171-pound frame. Got the ball to start the game for the Lions. Struck out five batters across three innings giving up three hits and two walks. Easy fluid delivery that he repeats regularly, arm action stands out paired with feel for three pitches. The fastball sat 88-89 mph with life out of the hand, scattered command early. The secondaries flash out-pitch potential, a sharp two-plane breaking ball at 78-79 mph paired with a heavy fading changeup in the mid-80s. One of the top uncommitted right-handers in the area and a rising talent in the state’s senior class.
