Manny Ehinger SS / 3B / Lakeridge, OR / 2027The Oregon commit maintains his top spot on the rankings list as he has for the entirety of the 2027 ranks, showcasing his impressive skillset at this winter's PNW Preseason All-State event. A high-waisted 6'4 shortstop, Ehinger's power tool stood out with a peak bat speed of 84.7 MPH and a max exit velocity of 101.7 MPH at the event. Despite a bit of rawness still present, plenty of pop and strong foundations of the swing still remain. The defensive actions showed well despite the longer frame, with 87 MPH throws across the infield. Ehinger looked the part in an in-game look this spring as well, hitting in the middle of the order for Lakeridge as one of the more imposing bats in the area already. Look for the top-ranked sophomore in the state to continue to dominate as his game matures. |

Joe Mendazona Jr. C / RHP / Central, OR / 2027Another potent bat with some present physicality near the top of the rankings, Mendazona is a 6'3 catcher with plenty of power from the left hand side of the plate. Sophomore generates leverage with aggressive hacks consistently, already slugging a pair of home runs this high school season. The sophomore is another middle of the order bat with plenty to dream on and will be closely followed in years to come. |

JT Girod SS / 3B / Central High School, OR / 2027Well-rounded 6'0 prospect maintains the third spot in the rankings for another list, showing well at PNW Preseason All-State. Continued to show feel for the barrel with a tight turn from the RH side of the plate. Set new bests with a peak exit velocity of 97.3 MPH and a max batted ball distance of 362 feet. Girod also ran a 7.12 60-yard dash and was up to 85 MPH on the mound. The sophomore will be a part of Team PNW at this summer's Prep Baseball Future Games in Georgia, where he should continue to perform and generate interest in the recruiting circuit. |
Notable Newcomers

Cade King RHP / OF / Clackamas, OR / 2027Rankings StateRank: 6 / POS: 2
By far the highest rankings debutee, King earned his way well into the top ten after a breakout bullpen at the Corvallis Preseason ID, backed up by a great in-game look recently. 6'3 righty topped out at 88 MPH in the preseason with an impressive four-pitch mix shown. The spring look was equally as strong, sitting 86-88 T89 MPH and throwing 7 dominant innings. King is part of an incredible set of arms at Clackamas High School this spring. |

Jack Burnham LHP / 1B / Ida B. Wells-Barnett, OR / 2027Rankings StateRank: 24 / POS: 5
A lefty arm with a ton of projectability, Burnham was up to 84.2 MPH from a low 3/4 slot release at the PNW Preseason ID this winter. A CH/CB offspeed combination rounded up the arsenal, both pitches with chances to pop with continued development. The lefty was seen at 79-82 MPH in HS action, but still generated some swing and miss. Arm to circle as frame and arsenal develops. |

Jake Pachmayr C / RHP / Central Catholic, OR / 2027Rankings StateRank: 40 / POS: 7
One of the better performances at the Corvallis Preseason ID lands Pachmayr a spot in the latest update. Medium framed backstop had a best pop time of 2.00 seconds with developing arm strength. Heavy barrel through the zone had exit velocities up to 95.7 MPH from the right hand side. Sophomore will be in attendance at PNW State Games this summer in Vancouver. |
Preseason Showcase Standouts

Gino Humphrey OF / South Eugene, OR / 2027Rankings StateRank: 7 / POS: 1
A loud and consistent offensive showing at PNW Preseason All-State led to Humphrey moving further into the top ten. Stays connected in a strong lower half, working from a longer leg lift load and exploding through contact. Posted a peak exit velocity of 102.9 MPH, averaging 90.6 MPH and hitting a ball 373 feet. Present strength and athleticism in the frame, running a 7.16 second 60-yard dash. Humphrey will be sought after this summer as one of the best OF in the state class. |

Kellen Bowman RHP / 3B / South Salem, OR / 2027Rankings StateRank: 11 / POS: 3
6'1 righty has had a great HS season on the mound, gaining momentum after a standout showing at PNW Preseason All-State. Showcased some jumps in stuff, sitting 85-86 MPH for strikes with a CH/CB offspeed combination. Long, continuous arm action moves smoothly down the mound. Bowman also posted a peak exit velocity of 96.9 MPH at the plate with plus batspeed shown. |

Mason Frederickson SS / RHP / Sandy, OR / 2027Rankings StateRank: 31 / POS: 6
Frederickson is another arm that showcased some real jumps in stuff in a winter look. FB sat 83-86 MPH with life up in the zone. SL flashed at times as clear best offspeed pitch. Medium framed athlete worked from a simple operation with a quick arm and a 3/4 slot release. Righty bat also posted exit velocities up to 90 MPH, but the arm was the real standout tool of the event. |
Prospects to Circle This Spring
![]() |
Harrison Buckingham RHP / 3B / South Salem, OR / 2027Rankings StateRank: 4 / POS: 1
The highest ranked arm in the Oregon '27 class, Buckingham's preseason metrics were outstanding, running the FB up to 91 MPH and spinning his SL with over 2600 RPM on average. The lean 6'2 righty was more in the mid-upper 80's in a HS look, and the righty is near the top of the strikeout leaderboard in the state. Buckingham will be of massive importance to a South Salem team with state title aspirations down the stretch this spring. |
![]() |
Chase Kelly LHP / OF / Jesuit, OR / 2027Few arms got off to a hotter start than Kelly, who threw 10 consecutive hitless innings to start the season and has continued to mow through competition for the most part. The strike throwing lefty was up to 83.4 MPH in the winter and 85 MPH in-game. Kelly made a big time jump to enter the top ten of the rankings and is another critical sophomore arm for a team with deep playoff goals. |

Sloan Baker OF / SS / West Linn, OR / 2027Rankings StateRank: 53 / POS: 7
Baker makes his rankings debut as he has manned the outfield throughout the season for three-time defending state champion West Linn. The righty bat features a short swing path and contact-oriented approach at the plate that has yielded positive results. The athleticism is best suited for a corner spot currently, with potential to add strength and quickness to the frame. Look for Baker to play a key role in West Linn's latest title defense. |
