Power 30 Update: Week 8

After 8 weeks of play in the Lone Star State, we have seen plenty of quality programs. On this update, we have a new No. 1 team in the power 30 and the Small School Top 10.

Moving forward, we’ll be rolling out two rankings every two weeks:
- The Power 30, now focusing exclusively on 6A and 5A teams, giving a clearer picture of the best big-school programs in Texas.
- The Small School Top 10, a new ranking highlighting the top private schools and Class 4A and below programs, ensuring standout performances at smaller schools aren’t overlooked.
This change allows us to recognize more programs having exceptional seasons, no matter their classification. With that, let’s jump into the latest rankings.
