This week's Prep Baseball KY Pitcher of the Week is uncommitted 2026 Dixon Kincheloe! The young righty had a clutch performance on the mound last week, as Paintsville squared up with crosstown rival Johnson Central with both teams battling each other for the top seed in the 15th Region. Johnson Central managed to take game 1 of the midweek series, but Kincheloe managed to hold them off in game 2 to even the standings. The 6'0" 185lb ace tossed a complete game for the Tigers, allowing just 1 ER on 3 H and 2 BB with an impressive 11 Ks for the win. A battle from start to finish, Paintsville took a 2-1 lead in the 5th and it proved to be enough for the experienced RHP, who struck out the side in the bottom of the 7th to slam the door for the W. The KY staff was impressed with the junior two-way last summer at our Top Prospect Games, where he topped out at 85.7mph on the FB with spin rates north of 2250rpm. Kincheloe now leads the Tiger pitching staff with 30.1 IP, 4 W and 48 Ks on the season, as well as a team-low 1.38 ERA. Paintsville now sits at the top of the rankings in the 15th Region with a 16-4 record and a 4 game win streak, started by Kincheloe's clutch outing.
