The winter schedule has come to a close as the season has gotten underway across the State over the past weekend. The 2025 regular season is well underway and beyond the game coverage so far, our staff ran through our Preseason Schedule that featured four events, highlighted by the Upperclass and Underclass Preseason All-State events that featured top prospects within their respective classes.
Our staff had eyes on over 250 players during the month's of January and February and our staff will continue to break it all down over the next month. With all of the talent that came through our showcases over the past two months, our we will begin spotlighting top uncommitted prospects who ran through our workout ahead of the high school season.
We continue our Top Uncommitted Spotlight Series with a look at '25 SS/OF Kelton Floan of Desert Ridge HS who impressed at the Mesa Preseason ID.

Scouting Report
Kelton Floan, a 2026 utility player and right-handed pitcher from Desert Ridge High School, is a well-rounded athlete with tools that play at multiple positions. He posted an impressive 6.82 60-yard dash, showcasing his athleticism. Defensively, Floan has a smooth glove and a strong arm, reaching 89 mph across the infield and 91 mph from the outfield. On the mound, he sits 85-86 mph with the fastball and features a sharp slider with 2400+ RPM spin. At the plate, Floan has a compact swing that consistently drives the ball to the big part of the field with hard contact. His versatility makes him a high-follow prospect heading into the spring.

Body: 5-10, 133-pounds.
Hit: RHH. Upright stance, keeps good posture, hands stay high, shifts weight well. Consitent contact, quick and compact swing that shows some gap to gap power potential, showed good barrel control. 63.1 mph bat speed with 33 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 91 max exit velocity, averaged 85.1 mph. 355' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-89 mph. OF-89 mph. Very clean and quick arm action, very whippy, showed potential to have serious velo with added muscle.
Defense: Smooth in the outfield, works through the ball well and makes clean transfers, moves his body very efficientely which leads to strong accurate throws.
ATH: 7.60 runner in the 60. 1.89 and 4.26 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. 28.90 max vertical.
