TX HS Committed Scout Blog: Week 7

Prep Baseball Texas Staff

The Texas Scout Blog is where you will be able to find all the notes and video from our boots-on-the-ground scouting team on the top players we see over the course of the spring season. This season, we will have separate scout blogs; one for uncommitted prospects, and one for committed prospects.

Below, you can read up on the committed standouts from week seven of high school play…

WEEK 7

Cooper Webb
Position:
RHP
School: Lake Travis (2026)
Commitment: Texas

Cooper Webb, a Texas commit, took the mound in a key district 26-6A matchup against Dripping Springs, which boasts a strong lineup. He went 5.1 innings, allowing only 2 hits and striking out 5, while giving up no earned runs in a Lake Travis victory. Webb made big pitches when needed and induced plenty of weak contact. His fastball ranged from 89-92 mph, his breaking ball was mostly 79-81, while he mixed in a changeup at 83-85 mph. Webb seems to have a nack for the big moment and is proving to be a true ace for the Lake Travis Staff.
