VENTURA, CALIF. - The Uncommitted Spotlight Series continues on as we are near the complete of the 2025 CIF High School season. With that in mind Prep Baseball California is continuing to highlight some of the top uncommitted class of '25 athletes for college programs to be jumping on for their 2025 recruiting clases.. The player featured today was a two time standout on the Prep Baseball California event platform and is putting up impressive numbers during his SR. season.

We invite you to get to know them through the eyes of our Prep Baseball California staff of scouts both through our in person looks at players and/or the data-backed numbers collected at our events with our partnered companies. TrackMan, Blast Motion, and VALD Performance provide comparable data to project and evaluate players. All of these systems come together to give a clear picture at what colleges will get when a players steps onto their campus.

Today, we put the spotlight on one of the top bats still available in the 2025 class who is sure to impact a college lineup after his HS career completes in NorCal '25 INF Beau Blake from Hughson High School in Hughson, Calif..  The RH hitting INF has shown off an impressive offensive profile this spring for the Huskies. In 27 games played across 108 plate appearances and 84 official at bats Blake is currently posting a slash line of .536/.617/.964 with an astounding 20 BBs to just 5 Ks on the entire season. Even more impressive is the 12 doubles he has hit while blasting eight homers showing his intriguing power profile with a strong approach and hit tool. Blake has been a massive run producer for the Huskies with 37 RBIs and 43 runs scored plus five stolen bases.. These numbers are a showcase the development of Blake's offensive profile after spending his JR. season in a contributor role with 17 games played, 70 plate apperances, 47 official at bats posting a slash line of .319/.529/.574 while walking 17 times with just six Ks in that span. Blake blasted three doubles with three homers while driving in 14 runs and scoring 28 runs plus stealing seven bases. 

Blake has twice appeared at Prep Baseball California events starting with a loud showing at the 2024 California State Games which he backed up with an impressive day at the 2024 NorCal Uncommitted Game. 

Across those two events Blake has posted strong athletic metrics including a 6.98 60 time with 1.65 10 yard split and 3.85 30 yard split while showing a top run speed of 19.8 MPH. He has showcased solid INF actions with reliable hands, solid footwork and an accurate 80 MPH arm to profile at 2B/3B/1B or LF potentially CF. 

Where Blake separates from many other uncommitted bats left in the class is the consistency not only of his performance which has been eye-popping, but the impressive data he has shown in batting practice to back up those numbers. On Blast Motion the explosiveness of his swing is readily apparent with top-tier bat speed up to 80 MPH, hand speed up to 28 MPH while showing aggressive quickness in his turn including a rotational acceleration up to 33.4 Gs. His raw power is strong with a max exit velocity in batting practice of 100.9 MPH with consistent loud hard contact posting an average exit velocity of 95.3 MPH while adding a Hard Hit rate of 91% to go with a Sweet Spot rate of 91% while for good measure blasting a 368' max distance during those two batting practice sessions. Blake has shown the ability to do his damage in the air at a high rate witha 67% Fly Ball/Line Drive rate and a 100% Fly Ball/Line Drive rate in the two batting practice sessions with average distances of 254' and 324' in those sessions. 

With an impressive offensive profile, strong defensive versatility, athleticism, track record of performance, impressive approach/swing decisions while still showing some room to add to his future ceiling Blake is going to be a tremendous late land for a college program looking to add a big time bat to their 2025 recruiting class.
