The Prep Baseball Virginia/DC staff makes their way across the Commonwealth and DC throughout the spring to assist high school players in gathering evaluations, including video and some data, that allow our staff to assist in the potential recruitment of student-athletes.

Bryce Tolbert LHP / 1B / BROOKVILLE HIGH, VA / 2026This is the second time seeing Tolbert within the last week. His velocity was down a few mph from before, with the fastball sitting 82-24 mph, topping 85. He pitched the full seven innings, contributing to his team's win. He allowed six hits, three runs, and walked one batter, finishing the night with nine strikeouts. Threw 67% strikes, working quickly and from the stretch. It was a very similar outing to his last showing against Rustburg. - Grant Harper

Miles Melescu LHP / WESTERN BRANCH HIGH, VA / 2025Melescu had a dominant outing in relief, going 5.2 shutout innings and collecting eleven strikeouts. He was consistently forcing uncomfortable swings with his slider throughout the outing, throwing it early and late in counts. It was the best I’ve seen it. He works at a quick pace with intent and is a competitor on the mound. - Mike Dailey
