As the Oregon high school baseball season continues, Prep Baseball features an Uncommitted Spotlight, where we highlight standout performers that attended a Prep Baseball Preseason ID event this year. Uncommitted spotlights are meant to showcase players that Prep Baseball Scouts felt showed standout tools, large improvements in overall game, or potential upside moving forward. College coaches and recruiters should be sure to keep an eye on these prospects in the coming months.

This week, we spotlight '26 LHP/1B Zack Hankins. The junior out of Taft High School was most recently seen at PNW Preseason All-State this February.

A 6'2, lean-framed athlete, Hankins showcased his two-way ability this February, running his FB into the low 80's while showing a quick LH stroke at the plate. Below is a complete breakdown of the player, including scouting reports and video from the event.
