Washington Uncommitted Spotlight - '26 OF/LHP Alex Morales

Uncommitted spotlights are meant to showcase players that Prep Baseball Scouts felt showed standout tools, large improvements in overall game, or potential upside moving forward. This week, we spotlight '26 OF/LHP Alex Morales. The junior out of West Valley High School was most recently seen at the Central Washington Preseason ID this February.
Morales showed some intruiging two-way ability, highlighted by throwing up to 84 MPH with a three-pitch mix on the mound. The 6'3 athlete should continue to progress as the frame fills out and the skillset develops. Below is a complete breakdown of the player, including scouting reports and video from the event.

Delivery: Works from stretch position on 3B side of the rubber. Hands set at belt. Posture stays tall on leg lift with strong land. Athleticism in delivery with momentum carried off toward 3B post-release.
Arm Action: LH. Minimal wasted movement in hands as they raise slightly and break at the letters. Clean, repeatable arm action with some speed out front. High 3/4 slot release.
