2025 KSHSAA Diamond Notes: Week 2

Andy Urban
Regional Supervisor

Each week, KSHSAA coaches around the state submit to us their nominations for the Prep Baseball Kansas Player of the Week. While we can only pick one, there are always a number of other impressive performances that were in the mix for the award and deserve recognition.

Here’s a look at some of the most notable from week two (March 31st-April 6th):

Max Hamilton RHP / 3B / Olathe West, KS / 2026

Any other week and Hamilton would have likely been our player of the week.

7 inning complete game, 2 H, 2 BB, 16 K's against a top 25 team.

Hudson Hardesty 1B / LHP / Lawrence, KS / 2027

Tossed a no-hitter with only 2 BB and 11 K against a quality 6A opponent. Also doubled twice in that game.

Hunter Loethen 3B / RHP / Paola, KS / 2025

In two games against #14 Fort Scott:

3 for 6 (.500), 1 2B,  1 RBI, 1 BB

7 inning complete game, 0 ER, 11 K's, 1 BB

His complete game was a 3-2 win.

Isaac Braun RHP / 1B / Wamego, KS / 2026

6 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 4 K against a top 25 team.

Braxton Madrigal RHP / 1B / Mulvane, KS / 2025

6-for-11 with a 2B and HR, 4 RBI, 6 R
