Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Prep Baseball Washington Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations submitted through our POTW Google Form.

Additionally, we will continue our Washington Diamond Notes to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Pitcher or Hitter of the Week.

This week's Hitter of the Week is '25 INF/RHP Xavier Neyens (Mount Vernon).

Xavier Neyens SS / 3B / Mount Vernon , WA / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 1 / POS: 1 OverallRank: 9 / POS: 7 The Prep Baseball All-American Game alum and one of the top ranked seniors in the country, Neyens posted a massive offensive week, hitting .700 with 3 towering home runs to the opposite field last week. The Oregon State commit also had 8 RBI, scored 7 runs and walked 3 times as a part of his standout week.
