Mizuno Player & Pitcher of the Week: Week 5

Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state. Thanks to Mizuno for sponsoring both awards this season.

Let's take a look at the Mizuno Player and Pitcher of the Week for Week 5 of the 2025 spring season.
MIZUNO PLAYER OF THE WEEK

KJ Anderson C / 3B / Cookeville, TN / 2027KJ Anderson (2027, Cookeville) One of the top catching prospects in the deep 2027 class. Anderson would finish the week hitting 7-11 with 2 HR’s, 2 triples and 1 double. He would also collect 5 RBI’s, 7 runs scored with 3 stolen bases, finishing the week hitting .636 with a 1.636 SLG, .667 OBS and a 2.330 OPS. |
MIZUNO PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Austin Grant LHP / 1B / Powell, TN / 2025Austin Grant (2025, Powell) The Roane State CC recruit would throw his 1st No-Hitter of the season in a complete 7 Inning game, where he would give up only 1 walk, while racking up 11 K’s. |
