Prep Baseball Louisiana 2025 Playoff Performers: Regional Round

Now that the 2025 LHSAA high school baseball playoffs have started, we feel that it is a perfect time to highlight some of the top performers from the second round of the playoffs.  After the completion of each playoff round, we will update this story to continue to highlight the top performances.  Be sure to follow us, across all our social media platforms, for non-stop coverage of the 2025 LHSAA high school baseball playoffs!

TOP PLAYOFF PERFORMERS (REGIONAL ROUND)

Connor Smith RHP / Northshore, LA / 2026

The uncommitted junior came through with a clutch start in Game 3 last weekend against #9 Walker to send the Panthers to the quarterfinal round of the playoffs.  Smith tossed a complete game no-hitter with only 2 walks and 11 strikeouts in Northshore's 4-0 win.

Cade Durbin RHP / Parkview Baptist, LA / 2025

The Louisiana-Lafayette recruit was dominant in the Eagles 7-0 Game 2 win over De La Salle to advance to the quarterfinal round of the playoffs.  Durbin tossed a complete-game shutout and allowed only 2 hits with 0 walks and 16 strikeouts.

Christian Wold RHP / 1B / South Beauregard, LA / 2025

The Louisiana Christian recruit tossed a no-hitter in Game 2 of the Golden Knights regional round playoff series against Loreauville.  He also hit .450 on the weekend with a double, triple, 4 runs batted in, and 3 runs scored.

Jack Ruckert SS / Catholic (BR), LA / 2025

The LSU recruit had a nice weekend for the Bears in their regional round playoff series win over Lafayette.  Ruckert went 4-for-6 (.667) with a double, 5 runs batted in, 3 runs scored, and he also had 2 stolen bases.

Andrew Clapinski C / Catholic (BR), LA / 2025

Clapinski continued his clutch hitting ways in the Bears regional round playoff series against Lafayette last weekend.  The LSU-Eunice recruit went 3-for-5 (.600) with a home run, triple, 4 runs batted in, and 2 runs scored to help Catholic (BR) advance to the quarterfinals.

Ryder Planchard 2B / Holy Cross, LA / 2025

The former Senior Future Gamer and LSU-Eunice recruit had a nice weekend for the Tigers in their regional round playoff series win over St. Paul's.  Planchard went 3-for-6 (.500) at the plate with 2 doubles, 3 runs batted in, and a run scored.

Stan Wiltz 2B / Brother Martin, LA / 2025

The University of New Orleans recruit set the table all weekend out of the leadoff spot for the Crusarders in their regional round playoff series win over Pineville.  Wiltz went 5-for-7 (.714) with a double, 4 runs scored, and he also had 3 stolen bases.

Ryan Darrah 3B / Brother Martin, LA / 2025

The former Future Gamer and Arizona State recruit had a stellar regional round playoff series for the Crusaders.  Darrah went 4-for-5 (.800) with a double, 3 runs batted in, and 3 runs scored to help Brother Martin advance to the quarterfinals.

Cade Wilkerson 1B / St. Thomas More, LA / 2025

The Chipola College recruit was on fire all weekend long in the Cougars regional round playoff series against St. Augustine.  Wilkerson went 4-for-6 (.667) at the plate with 2 home runs, 4 runs batted in, and 4 runs scored.

Jake Moreci RHP / Jesuit, LA / 2025

Moreci delivered a magnificent outing in the Blue Jays Game 2 series-clinching win over Alexandria in the regional round of the playoffs.  He earned the win after tossing a complete-game shutout with 0 walks and 5 strikeouts.

Jairus Miller LHP / Barbe, LA / 2025

The McNeese State recruit moved his season record to 12-0 last week with a win in Game 2 of the Bucs regional playoff round series against Central (BR).  Miller tossed a complete game one-hit shutout and allowed 4 walks with 7 strikeouts.

Connor Donnelly RHP / Jesuit, LA / 2025

Donnelly was stellar in the Blue Jays Game 1 win over Alexandria in the regional round of the playoffs.  He tossed a complete-game shutout and allowed only 6 hits with 0 walks and 5 strikeouts.

Thomas Allen RHP / Benton, LA / 2025

The Louisiana-Monroe recruit was stellar in the Tigers Game 1 win over Ruston last weekend.  Allen tossed a complete-game (6 innings) shutout and allowed only 2 hits with 0 walks and 8 strikeouts. 

Dayton Hicks RHP / Sulphur, LA / 2025

Hicks set the tone in his Game 1 start for the Tors in their upset win over 4th seeded Haughton.  The LSU-Eunice recruit tossed a complete-game shutout and allowed only 6 hits with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts.

Brayden Calamari C / RHP / Slidell, LA / 2025

Calamari makes this list two weeks in a row for his efforts.  Last weekend, he had a game to remember in Slidell's Game 2 series-clinching upset win over 3rd seeded Northwood.  The uncommitted senior went 2-for-4 at the plate with 2 grand slams and 8 runs batted in.

Hadley Hardesty RHP / 1B / Westlake, LA / 2026

Hardesty played an important role on both sides of the ball in the Rams regional round playoff series win.  He collected six hits at the plate with one being a home run and also had 5 runs batted in.  On the mound, he tossed a complete-game and allowed 2 runs on 1 hit with 4 strikeouts.

Blaze Duhon LHP / North Vermilion, LA / 2026

The uncommitted junior southpaw earned the win in Game 1 for the Patriots against 8th seeded Iota.  Duhon tossed a complete-game shutout with 3 walks and 7 strikeouts.

Troy Green RHP / Slidell, LA / 2025

The LSU-Eunice recruit was stellar in his Game 1 start last week against #3 Northwood.  Green earned the win after tossing 6 2/3 innings, allowing only 1 run and 0 earned runs on 3 hits with 2 walks and 12 strikeouts.

Ashton Bultron 1B / Sam Houston, LA / 2025

The Belhaven recruit came through with the Broncos biggest hit last weekend in their 2nd round sweep of #6 West Monroe.  In the bottom of the 7th with 2 strikes and 2 outs, Bultron hit a walk-off double to send Sam Houston to the quarterfinals.

Aubrey St. Angelo 3B / RHP / Brusly, LA / 2026

The former Future Gamer and Nicholls State commit did it all in the Panthers regional round playoff series win over Eunice.  St. Angelo went 4-for-6 (.667) at the plate with a double, 3 runs batted in, and a run scored, and also earned the win on the mound in Game 2, after tossing 4 innings and allowing 0 earned runs with 0 walks and 7 strikeouts.

Lawton Littleton LHP / Barbe, LA / 2027

The state's sophomore southpaw was brilliant once again for the Bucs in Game 1 of their regional round playoff win over Central (BR).  Littleton led the Bucs to the 1-0 win after tossing a complete game no-hitter with only 2 walks and 9 strikeouts.
