Prep Baseball Wisconsin Player of the Week: Jack Brenner

Jack Brenner (Fond du Lac, 2026) capped off the first month of the spring with a strong week for the Cardinals. Multiple standout performances for Brenner throughout the week going 8-for-14 with two home runs, three doubles, two walks and 11 RBIs. For his efforts, Brenner was named this week’s player of the week.

Starting his week on Tuesday against Kimberly, one of the top teams in the state, Brenner would go 3-for-5 at the plate with five RBIs. All five of his RBIs came in the first two innings, the first on a two-run home run in the first and the second on a bases clearing double to right field.

Brenner would keep things going heading into Thursday against Oshkosh North, going 2-for-4 on the day with a double and three RBIs.

Friday, Brenner would go 3-for-3 at the plate with three RBIs and two walks, the two RBIs were driven in on a two-run home run in the top of the seventh.

Finishing the week on Saturday against West Bend West, Brenner would go 1-for-3 with a double.

The Kent State commit is one of the top athletes in the class. Offering positional versatility, proving to be a quality defender behind the dish and in the middle infield while swinging a strong and quick right-handed bat. The former Prep Baseball Future Gamer is one of the top catchers in the class while performing as one of the top middle of the order bats to start the spring.

+ C/UTL Jack Brenner (Fon du Lac, 2026; Kent State commit) was one of the top performers from the weekend. The former Prep Baseball Future Game participant impressed throughout the day. Standing at an athletic and strong 5-foot-11, 170 pound frame with room for more fill, Brenner started his day by running the fastest recorded 60-yard dash at 6.76. At the plate, the right-handed hitter took a standout round of BP consistently finding the barrel and impacting the ball with leverage out in front. Defensively, Brenner shows off his athleticism at multiple spots, a capable defender behind the plate with advanced catch-and-throw ability with a strong and accurate arm up to 82 mph from the crouch and a pop time range of 1.85-2.03. Also a sure handed infielder with range and arm strength up to 88 mph.
