Travelers Rest 2 Easley 0
Under the lights and in front of a packed crowd, Travelers Rest and Easley squared off in a tightly contested battle with playoff implications on the line. From the first pitch, the intensity was palpable, setting the stage for a game defined by elite pitching and disciplined execution.
Both pitching staffs were exceptional, commanding the zone, changing speeds effectively, and keeping hitters off balance all night. Each at-bat was a test of patience and focus, as neither lineup found consistent rhythm against the dominant arms on the mound. Defensive units on both sides were sharp, making timely plays to support their pitchers and maintain the tension inning after inning.
Ultimately, it was Travelers Rest who found a way to break through, leaning on resilience and small-margin execution to secure the hard-fought win. This one will be remembered as a textbook example of playoff-caliber baseball—highlighted by mound presence, mental toughness, and a relentless competitive edge.

Walker Cox RHP Easley HS 2026 South Carolina Commit
Cox had a solid outing on the mound on Tuesday night against Travelers Rest. He allowed an unearned run early and then was able to settle in and show flashes of some very impressive stuff. He mixed four pitches including a fastball that sat in the mid-to-upper 80's and topped out at 89. His curveball was effective all night long and sat 70-71. Cox has a long and lean frame to build on and the ball jumps out of his hand. He is a plus athlete that I believe can continue to develop into a significant contributor at the next level.
